Cunard Cruise 2012
Trip Day 34
Monday, April 23rd
At Sea
Cruising the Mediterranean Sea/Atlantic Ocean

There is only one more port of call before the cruise ends in Southampton, England on Friday. That stop is Lisbon, Portugal on Tuesday. In the mean time I guess all I can do is cruise the Mediterranean Sea and later in the day the Atlantic Ocean.

Sometime this day the ship should pass through the Strait of Gibraltar. One might hope that it is in the daytime. It is interesting to watch.

As I write this the time in the ship next port of Lisbon 5 hours ahead of home and is in what is known as Western European Time or WET. By the time I get there they will be on WEST which stands for Western European Summer Time which, as in most places, one gains an hour for "summer (or daylight) time" (as we do) so the difference will still be 5 hours from home. The ship will probably have changed to the new time by today.

Since I have the problem of a "lack of shore" again there will obviously not be any shore excursion today. If the ship passes through the Strait of Gibraltar in the daylight then some "shore" will be visible but since the ship will not be docking I will not have any shore to get off on. So, still no shore, so no shore excursion!

So, this is the plan for this day.
